Blue boxes

Hello!
My oh my I always have the feeling that the weekend is passing by twice as fast as the rest of the week. Am I the only one?
I have another little make over project to share!
Do you remember this box? (in fact got two of these) I got them from a friend of mine.  She did not use them any longer and wanted to throw them away. And I immediately came up with the idea that a bit of paint and some new knobs  would turn them into handy dandy boxes. This is before:

I just turned the two drawers and added the knobs. And yes; again painted in polar blue:)
These knobs are quite simple

And these knobs are a bit different; I could not make a choice so I bought both....

And this is the final result; the painting is not perfect but I like the way they are now. A perfect place to store my stash of tags and  cards.. Which one do you prefer? This one?

Or this one?

Till soon! Stella

CCCB #113 Buttons for a sweet and smart girl

Hi,
Are you all having a great weekend and Fathers' Day?
I am here tonight to share the card I made for this weeks' challenge at the City Crafters Challenge Blog This week you have to add at least 5 buttons to your project.

I made a card for Iris; the girlfriend of my nephew Pim. She's a sweet, pretty, and smart girl. She passed her exams gymnasium and really deserves a card after all the hard work.
I made a card and focussed on the buttons:) Used a pattern paper in soft colors ( Prima) and used soft shades of ink.

The colors of the buttons are a perfect reflection of the colors I prefer. On top of the heart a pearl

And here is my card:

Have a lovely day/evening! Stella X

Our house, boxes and tags

Hi,
Thursday evening 10.45 PM; what happened with the day? I've been working; had a meeting at work until 7.00 PM, came home, had a tuna/pasta salad for dinner, got two phone calls and made some pics of the garden. (coming soon)
And now the house. I am showing you a few pics before and after, a few peeks of things I've been working on and a few tags I just made.
We are waiting for new lighting (sold out now but back in the store soon) so these pics are just a few. And more pics to share in a few weeks. Please; be patient with me:)
Our side table; We bought the mahogany side table 8 years ago. It's antique and when we bought it it was in pieces. For a reasonable price but it defnitely needed some severe restoration. Marcel did a terrific job and it's one of my favorite pieces of furniture. The bowl in the right is one of the things I inherited from my parents. The bowl is more than 80 years old. It belonged to my great grandparents on my fathers' side of the family..…

Hi!
Yes; we are almost finished with the mini make over but how are you???
I am back in my craft room; after a few weeks of planning, being busy with the living room and sorting out the closets, boxes, papers and all other kinds of goodies that you tend to keep :) It's not only about getting new flooring and furniture but also to review everything you drag into your house in the past few years. I feel like a professional organiser hee hee!
I did not have the time but there was also a lack of inspiration to make a few cards..And on top of that; I am not able to get crafty when my house is a mess....  But yesterday evening I revisited my craft room; reorganised a little and went back to stamping...... I made a card based upon a challenge that has a place in my heart. I've been playing along since the beginning but also have been MIA on a regular base the last few months..... But; it's good to be there again!
I am talking about THIS challenge and based upon these colors:
