Ice blue

Hello!
It's Thursday evening and the weekend is almost there.  I am looking forward to it because it's filled  to the brim with fun things.  One of my sisters will be here tomorrow evening and that means  quality time filled with talking and laughter:) And I am participating in a baking competition.  Keeping my fingers crossed because I have to make a cake  based upon a recipe that I made myself.   My try out turned out great (tried it last Sunday)  and Saturday I have to deliver it. I'll keep you posted:) There is also a wedding party on Saturday evening  And Sunday there will be time to finish a few projects.  I will share them next week.
On to my card. Lots of ice blue, even the sequins are ice blue:)

It's another Christmas card:

I hope you like it:) Take care and enjoy your weekend, Stella

Gretha will be joining us for the last time being our Special Guest designer for October.  Gretha thank you so much for your gorgeous cards.  If you want to know how talented she is you must hop over to her blog
I love stripes; and again I made two cards. One card with a subtle striped pattern  and one with stripes as a focal point:
This is subtle:

And as a focal point:
After taking photos I noticed that my heart is a tiny bit off center. (Arghhhhh!)
But I had to share this card too. My cards do not always turn out as I imagined....

I cut the heart out of my striped paper and added a heart cut from dark blue paper.
Would you please let me know what technique this is? Inlay die cut?

The winner of this weeks' challenge will be offered a GD spot at CCCBPlease hop over to ourBlogfor more inspiration of our Guest Designer and…

Flower Patch

Hello!
How are you? Already Sunday and I am here to share two cards. I made these with a stamp set from Stampin' Up; Flower Patch. For one card I also used one of the coordinating dies. What I love about this set is the variety of styles .  And  there are small and large stamps; perfect for mixing and matching.

I used a large die for my flower:

And this is how it turned out:

Using washi tape to create a border:

Have a great day, Stella

Our Special Guest Designer for October is the talented Greta Just hop over to her blog and see more of her beautiful cards!

I had to create something with stars. And made two cards for two different occassions. My first card is a masculine birthday card. I added stars and my favorite colors:

I also added some hemp cord for a bow. A bow tied from hemp cord is less girlie:)

My second card is a christmas card. This embossing folder makes me happy :)

I created a monochromatic card. White on white. I had to add a touch of red to create a bit of contrast and red is perfect for Christmas:

Our Guest Designer this week is the talented Greta Just hop over to her blog and see more of her beautiful creations!
I was inspired by:The map, use of wood and the sentiment: "Go somewhere"I used a page of an old map (Which I bought at the thrift store) and punched out a place in the Netherlands where one of my sisters lives.Being there feels like home.
And I came up with the ultimate CAS card made by me:)

And added the sentiment: "home is where the heart is"Very Clean and Very Simple...In my opinion: this is all what this card needs:)

Favorite color combo

Hello!
How are you?
I love this time of the year. The smell of fall, enjoying a good stew and some home made cake:)Evenings are getting longer and I think that fall has a lot of charm. With leaves coloring to gold; there is something special about that Indian summer.Fall definitely arrived here in the Netherlands. Temperatures are going down, a bit of rain from time to time and we can't complain about the weather after an extraordinairy summer.
I have a card to share; grey is the new white for me.And paired up with a touch of aqua it's one of my favorite color combos:

That chipboard sentiment is part of a birthday gift sent to me by Colleen. A gorgeous gift and it's on my desk since the day it arrived. I tend to keep it and not use it.. I am quite a hoarder:)I started with this chipboard sentiment. Paired with bling, a piece of ribbon and papers with different patterns. Here is my card:

Till soon!

City Crafter Challenge #232

Hello!

It's Tuesday and a new challenge starts at the City Crafter Challenge blog.
This week Anna is our host. And asks us to create a card or project using leaves.
This is the photo inspiration:

Our Guest Designer this week is the talented Greta Just hop over to her blog and see more of her beautiful creations!

I used leaves in different colors and stamped away. And my first card did not turn out as planned. I  tried to step out of my comfort zone and that did not work out as planned. I guess we all have things that turn out not that great and I also want to share a less succesful project.

The sentiment is in Dutch and means "Just because I think of you"

Lesson learned.... I stick to my favorite colors; all shades of blue and green. And neutrals such as white and grey. From time to time with an accent of red, pink, yellow or orange.

And I made a Christmas card; for once in red and green! And this card did turned out as planned:)

That sequins stamp is a fave; th…
