City Crafter #281

Hello everyone
It's Tuesday and that means   a brand new challenge at the  City Crafter. Today Marina is our host and she picked the theme:"Geek chic".
And she asks us to use the theme of science,
technology or sci-fi. Or be inspired by the mood board)

(moodboard created by Marina herself)

My take is based upon science;
I choose a take on astronomy.

A star as a focal point,  the galaxy created with a splatter stamp  and the sequins are my comets and planets:) I think it will work for a bright, masculine card:

Our Guest Designer for this week is Padooria You can find more inspiration from her and   the other team members on ourblog. I hope you will have time to play along;  the winner will be offered a spot as our Guest Designer.
Thanks for stopping by; have a great day!

Color & Cardstock

Hello!
A very relaxing Sunday... Time to share a few cards I made recently.
This card is made with papers   sent to me by Marit.
It turned out a birthday card in bright colors. I love these balloons!

I attended a workshop at Bij Oma Dee. Theme of the workshop was "Cardstock only".   but I cheated a bit with my first card :)

A small strip in fact LOL

This card is made with a speech bubble die:

And  I LOVE that sentiment stamp from Lawn fawn!

Have a great Sunday!

Lift Challenge #92

Hello!
It's already Saturday evening! Already back to work for two weeks.  And besides work I spent time baking,  working in the garden,  and decluttered a few closets.
Today I had time to join the Lift Challenge. We're supposed to use triangles on our card  (no banners or flags)

I used a triangle stamp:

And paired it up with sequins,  vellum and my favorite bird:)

Have a great weekend! Stella

City Crafter #280

Hello everyone!
It's Tuesday again and that means
time for a new challenge at theCity Crafter.  Today it's my turn to host
and this weeks' theme is:
"Fall has arrived"

Create a card or project and pick
an element of the inspiration photo.

Fall has just started and yes leafs are falling.
But it's also harvest time so
that's also a great idea to start with.
Or create a view with hills or borders.
 Just have fun!

My take on this theme is based upon  the borders in the inspiration photo:

It turned out a Christmas card LOL!

(My apologies for the poor quality of the photos;  it was clouded and dull when I took them..)

You can find more inspiration from our  Guest Designer Andie Miller and  the other team members on ourblog.  I hope that you will join us this week;  the winner will be invited to join us as a Guest Designer.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello and good morning!
It's Tuesday again and that means  a brand new challenge  at the City Crafter Challenge blog. My dear friendRosis our host  and she picked the theme "In Pieces". Create a card or project that features paper piecing.

Besides paper piecing I did some  stamping and used a few dies:

I stamped the fox on white and  orange/brown cardstock.  And fussy cut its tail and the top of his head. My cutting is far from perfect  but I am pleased how this card turned out:

The Graduate and the Lift Challenge

Hello!
It has been an amazing week and the  most amazing part of this week  is definitely Martijns' graduation!
Here he is; sitting in the chamber of Senate  of the University of Groningen. Listening to the graduation speech  his professor wrote for him:

Martijn after receiving his degree as Master of Science; Graduated with the distinction "Cum Laude "(Excellent!)   in Evolutionary Biology!

It was a wonderful, happy and very special day!

There is a lot to share but for now  I am sharing the card I made for the current Lift Challenge We're supposed to lift this card:

and create our own background with stamps.  I choose a modern design in my favorite colors  and added a splash of yellow:

And a bold and modern sentiment:

City Crafter #278

Good morning!

It's Tuesday again
and that means a new challenge at the
City Crafter Challenge.  Today Kirsty is our host and she picked the theme "Feeling flat". Create a card or project as flat as possible; envelope and postage friendly!

I used a lot of dies lately and I wanted  to use my stamps again.  My take on the theme turned out a one layer card.  It's a christmas card which is also easy for mass produce. All the stamps are from Papertrey Ink:

I added a bit of bling using silver tinsel and some sequins
